Everyone dressed to impress and overall the night was a great success. A special thanks has to be said to the team at Busker Brownes for all their help in setting up, the bloggers Ciara, Erika, Tanith, Jessie and Lia who shared their do’s and don’t’s on the night and all the students from GTI who participated in making it such a well organised event.

Celebrity Fashion Disaster

This week’s celebrity fashion disaster goes to Rita Ora.

Performing on stage at the X Factor final, Ms. Ora wore the most horrendous and unflattering jumpsuit I have ever seen. She paired the baggy jumpsuit with a multi-coloured leather jacket. Somebody has definitely been taking style tips from MC Hammer.

Designer V’s Highstreet

Looking through the January issue of Marie Claire I spotted this fabulous Fendi Coat.  After a quick search on the internet, I came up with this Top Shop copy for £95.00 which is approx. €117.00.

A must have with the cold weather we are having at the moment.

Blast from The Past 1950’s

Fashion in the 50’s brought instant glamour and this era was all
about enhancing your natural curves, icons included Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor.

Top 5….Party Dresses

This week I searched online and through the shops of Galway such as River Island and Topshop to find some of the most stylish party dresses. Here are the top 5 best dresses to keep you on trend this festive season.

River Island, €38
This River Island dress is bang trend, with the baroque pattern being the most popular trend this season. The baroque pattern with a low back adds a little glam to the simple black bodycon dress.

H&M,€38.95
This 1920s inspired dress is another favourite party dress of mine, with the silver coated beading adding a touch of sparkle to this elegant dress.

Missguided.co.uk, £44.99
Sequins are massive this season, and with an added skater style to the dress it makes this glitzy dress flattering and suitable for any shape, size or figure.

River Island, £38
This cream dress from River Island is simple yet very elegant, and the sequined cuffs add some sparkle to the outfit. The backless tie adds an elegant and classic touch to the dress.

Topshop, £49
You can’t go wrong with an LBD this season, and this one from Topshop is a definite must have! The mesh detail at the front and back of dress, with the added shoulder pad detail of beaded embellishment makes this the most stylish party dress this season!
